In ruling on a motion filed by the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, on 5 May 2024, the Court of BiH issued a decision in the case of Zdravko Čvorić and ordered the suspect Zdravko Čvorić into custody, which can last no longer than one month, running from the arrest day, that is, until 4 June 2024, or a new Court’s decision, due to the existing particular custody grounds set forth in Article 132(1) a) and b) of the CPC BiH, that is, due to a risk of flight and a fear that, if released, the suspect will destroy, conceal, alter or forge evidence and clues of relevance to the criminal proceedings, and exert influence on witnesses, accomplices or concealers.

The suspect Zdravko Čvorić has been charged with commission of the criminal offense of War Crimes against Civilian Population in violation of Article 142(1) of the Criminal Code of the Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia.
